Mercedes-Benz has launched the new S 350 BlueTEC model powered with a new V6 diesel engine and an AdBlue emission control. It is available at a price of EUR76,279.
According to Mercedes-Benz, the new BlueTEC model has a combined fuel consumption of 6.8lt of diesel per 100km corresponding to CO2 emissions of 177gm/km. The new diesel model has a power output of 190kW with a torque of 620Nm.
In addition, the S 350 BlueTEC features an active blind spot assist and active lane keeping assist. The new model has a top speed of 250km/h.
The company said that in the new S350, BlueTEC technology reduces emissions and an AdBlue solution which is injected into the exhaust flow, releases ammonia, which converts up to 80% of nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water in downstream SCR (selective catalytic reduction) catalytic converter.
The new S 350 also features Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG sound system as a standard which includes a combination of 15 loudspeakers and two amplifiers with a total output of 1200W for efficient quality of sound.
