The Mercedes Shooting Break Concept - a station wagon version for the CLS-Class - will make its world debut later this week at the Beijing motor show.
Unlike Concept Fascination, this copy is much closer to the production version of the Estate model, based on the next generation of CLS. Moreover, this concept prefigures also the new generation of V6 engines from Mercedes-Benz, this copy is equipped with a 3.5-liter engine that develops 306 HP and 273 lb-ft of torque.
Mercedes describes this as the forerunner to a new generation of direct injection engines, and says that attention has been paid to the efficiency of the ancillary units (presumably the alternator, among other things), and that there is also a start/stop system.
